What we do Conservation Our reserves Cranes Moor Bog Size : 16.14 hectares Ownership: Defence Estates Designation: SSSI, SAC, SPA, Ramsar Restrictions: Strictly no public access Emergency Access: Andover Green Grid ref: SY 82270 88632 Cranes Moor Bog is a medium sized site, unique amongst ARC’s reserves. The Reserve Cranes Moor Bog is situated in the Turners Puddle Heath complex which is mainly used for Ministry of Defence training. The overriding habitat of the reserve is as the name suggests bog, consisting mainly of bog myrtle and purple moor grass. Around the edges of the reserve mainly Scots pine and oak are present. What to see: All the common reptile species can be found on the reserve; grass snake, adder, common lizard and slow worm along with common toad and common frog. Manage Cookie Preferences
